Step into the dusty streets of the Wild West in Quick Draw Duel, where sharp reflexes and steady aim decide your fate. As a lone cowboy, you face tense one-on-one shootouts against rivals, waiting for the signal to draw your weapon. The challenge lies in reacting faster than your opponent and firing with precision hesitation means defeat. Spilkontroller

Quick Draw Duel is a local multiplayer quick-draw game for 2 players sharing a single keyboard. Each round begins with a countdown (3-2-1), followed by a random delay before the "DRAW!" signal. Players must react as fast as possible — the first to press their fire key after the signal wins the round. But there's a catch: press fire before the signal and it's a false start, instantly losing the round.

The game is played first to 5 wins across 9 rounds max. If both players fire within ~100ms of each other, it's a standoff (sudden death re-fire). Reaction times are displayed after each round so you can see who was truly faster.

Visually, it's rendered on a canvas in a Western/desert aesthetic with:

5 scene backgrounds: Sunset, Midday, Dawn, Dust, Night — each with unique color palettes, cloud formations, and (on Night) twinkling stars
8 cowboy outfit presets with different hat/coat/bandana color combinations
Animated cowboys with detailed faces (eyebrows, stubble, cheekbones, nose shading, ear detail), idle gun in holster, and a detailed revolver when firing (cylinder flutes, barrel rib, front sight, ejector rod, checkered grip)
Particle effects: gun smoke that lingers, shell casings ejecting, muzzle flash, drifting wind dust during standoffs, blood splatter and blood pools on the ground when someone gets hit
Heat shimmer at the horizon during standoffs
Dynamic camera zoom that subtly tightens during standoff tension
All audio is synthesized at runtime using the Web Audio API — no audio files needed. You'll hear plucked string melodies, kick drums, tension-building heartbeat pulses, gunshots with shell-tink sounds, and a full menu theme. The music dynamically shifts between menu, standoff, and win/loss cues.
